The Hyrulian Caste System:
Nobility - On top is the noble caste, they are the arbiters and primary beneficiaries of the King's law. The Mad King demands that noble blood stay pure. Knights and commanders that lead the Conscript Caste must be of noble blood.
Merchants - Though not every shop keeper is of the Merchant Caste, those important enough to the realm's market find themselves in good favor with nobility. These merchants often have to play games of charming the nobility through bribes and favors to earn contracts and monopolization licenses.
Conscript - The military caste is divided among battalions assigned to a commander of noble status. Conscripts are allowed freedom of purchase with their rupee salary and can even be licensed as merchants if their service earns them the appreciation of the right noble.
Commoners - If they want their rations and shelter, the commoners must work in whatever job the nobility commands them to fulfill.
Outsiders - Gorons, Zora, and other non-Hylians find themselves at the unfortunate standing below even commoners. The Mad King's hatred of the inhuman races seems to get worse every year.
Green Skins - The Mad King is outraged that the Gerudo have access to divine places that should belong to Hyrule. For this reason, it is the Mad King's law that they are the lowest scum of the realm.
