Each scene of an adventure or campaign will have it's own thread, and in the title of the thread the DM will include a difficulty ranking. The difficulty ranks range from D4 (Fairy Easy), D6, D8 (Normal), D10, D12 (Hard Mode), all the way to D20 (Water Temple Nightmare Mode).

The difficulty ranking determines which type of die you will use for all posts in a thread. For any actions you make in a post, you roll three dice of the appropriate rank.

A 1, 2, or 3 on any one die is a win.

Two wins is a Crit.

Three wins is a Super Crit.

The DM determines the role play impact of Crits and Super Crits.

Whenever you roll two dice for their max value, you crit fail, even if you had a win.
